La Fundaci\u00f3n Universitaria Agraria de Colombia \u2013 UNIAGRARIA, creada en el a\u00f1o 1985 seg\u00fan Acta de Constituci\u00f3n firmada el 8 de marzo, es una Instituci\u00f3n de Educaci\u00f3n Superior de car\u00e1cter privado que naci\u00f3 con el lema \u201cCiencia y Fe en el campo\u201d, y desde sus inicios ha encaminado sus esfuerzos a contribuir a la formaci\u00f3n integral de los colombianos y al desarrollo del pa\u00eds, centrando su Proyecto Educativo Institucional (PEI) y su misi\u00f3n en el SER \u2013 entendido como la triada Sustentabilidad \u2013 Emprendimiento \u2013 Regionalizaci\u00f3n, lo cual ha caracterizado la vocaci\u00f3n y el compromiso de la entidad con la sustentabilidad ambiental, la cultura del emprendimiento y el desarrollo regional con enfoque territorial; pilares que soportan nuestra misi\u00f3n y que la han llevado a convertirse en la \u201cU Verde de Colombia\u201d. La interpretaci\u00f3n gr\u00e1fica del PEI representa un v\u00ednculo sin\u00e9r- gico de las funciones sustantivas de la Instituci\u00f3n, apoyadas en las tecnolog\u00edas de la informaci\u00f3n y de la comunicaci\u00f3n \u2013 TIC, como factores que potencian los tres pilares misionales de UNIAGRARIA planteados en un tri\u00e1ngulo equil\u00e1tero, que proporciona el equilibrio perfecto para la construcci\u00f3n integral del SER Uniagrarista.

Fue UNIAGRARIA  concebida por sus fundadores, como un instrumento educativo de nivel superior para contribuir a la formaci\u00f3n del talento humano indispensable para el desarrollo de la comunidad regional y rural del pa\u00eds, conformada por m\u00e1s de 12 millones de almas, haciendo \u00e9nfasis en la poblaci\u00f3n campesina que se re\u00fane en unos 2,8 millones de familias dispersas en los 1100 municipios que conforman la regi\u00f3n y  el territorio nacional, desarrollo que no solo se enfoca en el mejoramiento de la producci\u00f3n y productividad econ\u00f3mica de las parcelas, sino que hace \u00e9nfasis en el factor HUMANO y su concepci\u00f3n integral como persona y como comunidad., necesitadas ambas de apoyos en la cultura, la historia, el arte, la m\u00fasica, la literatura y muchas otras facetas que favorecen el logro de la felicidad; condici\u00f3n que cada vez es m\u00e1s visible e indispensable para la permanencia del hombre rural y su familia en el territorio, y disminuir as\u00ed la migraci\u00f3n hacia las grandes ciudades. <\/span><\/p>\n

Nuestra identidad surge de la manera coherente y arm\u00f3nica como se desarrollan las actividades educativas como Instituci\u00f3n Universitaria, de cara a los emprendimientos para la soluci\u00f3n de problemas reales de los habitantes del territorio, la protecci\u00f3n del ambiente y de la cultura rural, miradas desde la formaci\u00f3n del talento humano necesario para ello. El reconocimiento del poder econ\u00f3mico del campo y de sus potencialidades para la alimentaci\u00f3n y el futuro sostenible de la humanidad, adem\u00e1s del estudio de sus interrelaciones con los centros urbanos, es nuestro prop\u00f3sito como fundaci\u00f3n y como ente educativo. Es la virtud con que lo logramos, lo que nos diferencia de instituciones similares. <\/span><\/p>\n

El quehacer de la Instituci\u00f3n, en consonancia con el PEI, se fundamenta en la calidad, la pertinencia y la internacionalizaci\u00f3n; adem\u00e1s en valores como el respeto, la tolerancia, la coherencia, el bien com\u00fan, la confianza, la justicia, y prioriza los principios del humanismo, disciplina, liderazgo, excelencia e innovaci\u00f3n, por lo cual, desde su concepci\u00f3n, la Instituci\u00f3n se ha caracterizado por la vocaci\u00f3n y el compromiso con la sustentabilidad ambiental, la cultura del emprendimiento y el desarrollo regional con enfoque territorial; pilares misionales que la han llevado a convertirse en la \u201cU Verde de Colombia<\/i>\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

En m\u00e1s de 40 a\u00f1os de existencia, UNIAGRARIA ha logrado avances significativos en la consolidaci\u00f3n de sus postulados fundacionales y concreci\u00f3n los tres pilares misionales arriba mencionados, que estructura el SER<\/i> y que se han explicitado como sello diferenciador en las funciones sustantivas de docencia, investigaci\u00f3n y extensi\u00f3n. La impronta del SER<\/i> uniagrarista, siguiendo los lineamientos del PEI desde el Modelo Pedag\u00f3gico y la Pol\u00edtica Curricular, se concreta en las competencias b\u00e1sicas generales, disciplinares y por supuesto institucionales, con los respectivos resultados de aprendizaje que caracterizan a los egresados de la Instituci\u00f3n y constituyen el factor diferenciador frente a profesionales o posgraduados de otras Instituciones de Educaci\u00f3n Superior. <\/span><\/p>\n

De igual manera, la impronta del SER<\/i> uniagrarista, se cultiva tambi\u00e9n desde la investigaci\u00f3n, exaltando la formaci\u00f3n en investigaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de diversas estrategias encaminadas a contribuir a la soluci\u00f3n de problemas reales; pero tambi\u00e9n a la satisfacci\u00f3n de necesidades visibles de la comunidad a trav\u00e9s de la investigaci\u00f3n aplicada y la transferencia de conocimientos afines con el desarrollo regional y rural sostenible, el emprendimiento y la innovaci\u00f3n y la conservaci\u00f3n del ambiente. La integraci\u00f3n de las funciones sustantivas y de los pilares misionales est\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n presente en el relacionamiento con el sector externo, especialmente el regional y rural, visible a trav\u00e9s de programas y proyectos propios del SER<\/i> uniagrarista, como el SISTEMA SEMBRAR PAZ, UNIAGRARIA al Campo, Plan 500 Colegios Verdes para Colombia, Madrugadas Rurales, Educaci\u00f3n en Contextos Rurales,  la creaci\u00f3n de Sedes y Centros Regionales, y muchos otros  proyectos propios de las disciplinas de los programas acad\u00e9micos que oferta la Instituci\u00f3n. Nuestra identidad es tambi\u00e9n palpable en nuestro Himno Institucional y nuestra Bandera. <\/span><\/p>\n

Herramienta dise\u00f1ada por el Departamento de Sistemas de Gesti\u00f3n de la Calidad de la instituci\u00f3n,\u00a0para facilitar la administraci\u00f3n de los documentos generados por sus funcionarios en el cumplimiento de sus funciones y procedimientos, dando cumplimiento a las directrices institucionales y los requerimientos de la norma ISO 9001.<\/p>

Igualmente es un medio de informaci\u00f3n que relaciona toda la documentaci\u00f3n existente para apoyar el control y la operaci\u00f3n de los procesos, garantizando su actualizaci\u00f3n, disponibilidad y su uso; utilizando una codificaci\u00f3n y estructura espec\u00edfica para su identificaci\u00f3n.
