The University Clinic of Uniagraria is a university clinic which provides medical, surgical, and hospital of diagnosis to companion animals (canine and feline). It has two exam rooms, a surgery room, living room X-ray, ultrasound, two meeting rooms and hospital outpatient (canine and feline). In addition, it has a network of medical oxygen and an area for sterilization of medical-surgical. It has recently been implemented specialized care from doctors outside in cardiology, dentistry, ophthalmology, oncology, orthopedics and dermatology under appointments.

History

The Veterinary Clinic Uniagraria works on the premises of the Fundación Universitaria Agraria de Colombia since 2017. In this time we have been able to grow in the offer of services, which has prompted you to think about extending the clinic within a short time; so our philosophy is strengthened in the care of companion animals and their owners, seeking excellence in all aspects of Physician practice Veterinary medicine.

Form integrally professionals with human quality, responsibility and ethics, through the exercise of Veterinary Medicine in companion animals (canine and feline), through qualified professionals and appropriate, in order to provide appropriate diagnosis and effective treatments, through equipment and technology of last generation, which will impact positively to the society to prevent discomfort in the health of their pets generating well-being and quality of life for them and their guardians.

General objective

Provide professional services are integral to the animals of the company, with a team of highly qualified medical, allowing the development of objectives mission of the Fundación Universitaria Agraria de Colombia, which include the teaching of undergraduate and graduate students, clinical research and extension through service to the community.

Specific objectives

  • Contribute to the training of Veterinarians qualified to provide opportunities for practical learning and theoretical to undergraduate and graduate students, to acquire clinical skills and develop a strong sense of ethical, responsible, with a commitment to animal welfare and the quality of medical care.
  • Provide veterinary services to the community, consultations, diagnostics, treatments, surgeries, hospital stays and follow-up of patients received in an efficient, responsible, ethical and committed to ensuring the health and welfare of animals, as well as the respectful attention of his tutors.

Become a university clinic of reference at the national level in the field of medicine, surgery, diagnostic, clinical, laboratory and treatment of canine and feline; to be recognized for the quality and excellence in veterinary care provided by a medical team that is highly qualified, trained and updated in all matters relating to veterinary medicine, as well as to focus on the constant training of future professionals, through training programmes and extension courses in the field of veterinary medicine.

Compete in the market with excellent quality, professional liability and ethics, at a reasonable cost. Please keep in mind that is not susceptible of any service free of charge; this is because the Clinic does not receive any contributions government, and its operation and survival depends on the provision of the services.

For students, alumni and staff: we have some benefits (discounts) on certain services:

  • Surgical procedures are not complex
  • Lab tests, general, not specific.
  • General query.

To acquire these benefits must be filed with the card of the Institution or state your full name or ID to check in the system and to affirm their belonging; on the other hand, the card of vaccination of the pet must be submitted with the same name (guardian) of the beneficiary and will accept up to 2 pets per beneficiary.

All beneficiaries without exception should carry out the process established in section of the general consultation.

Maria Paula Clavijo Triviño

MV Uniagraria, Dipl. In Internal medicine and Emergency. Position: internal medicine Doctor in charge of the area of x-ray and anesthesia. Experience in internal medicine, management, in-hospital, emergency department and diagnostic imaging, faculty of Emergency Veterinary services.
