Institutional identity UNIAGRARIA
Fundación Universitaria Agraria de Colombia – UNIAGRARIA, established in the year 1985 under the Constitution Act, signed on march 8, is an Institution of Higher Education of a private nature that was born with the motto “Science and Faith in the field”, and since its inception it has aimed its efforts to contribute to the integral formation of the colombian people and the country's development, focusing its Institutional Educational Project (PEI) and its mission in the BE – understood as the triad Sustainability – Entrepreneurship – Regionalization, which has characterized the vocation and the commitment of the entity with the environmental sustainability, the culture of entrepreneurship and regional development with a territorial approach; pillars that support our mission and that have led it to become the “U Green of Colombia”. The graphical interpretation of the IEP represents a link to a synergist of the substantive functions of the Institution, supported by the technologies of information and communication – ICT, such as the factors that enhance the three pillars missionary UNIAGRARIA raised in an equilateral triangle, which provides the perfect balance for the construction of an integral to BE Uniagrarista. Fue UNIAGRARIA concebida por sus fundadores, como un instrumento educativo de nivel superior para contribuir a la formación del talento humano indispensable para el desarrollo de la comunidad regional y rural del país, conformada por más de 12 millones de almas, haciendo énfasis en la población campesina que se reúne en unos 2,8 millones de familias dispersas en los 1100 municipios que conforman la región y el territorio nacional, desarrollo que no solo se enfoca en el mejoramiento de la producción y productividad económica de las parcelas, sino que hace énfasis en el factor HUMANO y su concepción integral como persona y como comunidad., necesitadas ambas de apoyos en la cultura, la historia, el arte, la música, la literatura y muchas otras facetas que favorecen el logro de la felicidad; condición que cada vez es más visible e indispensable para la permanencia del hombre rural y su familia en el territorio, y disminuir así la migración hacia las grandes ciudades. Our identity comes from the way a coherent and harmonious as to develop the educational activities as a University Institution, in the face of the enterprises for the solution of real problems of the inhabitants of the territory, the protection of the environment and of the rural culture, looks from the formation of the human talent necessary to do so. The recognition of the economic power of the field and its potential for the food and the sustainable future of humanity, in addition to the study of their interrelationships with the urban centers, it is our purpose as a foundation and as an educational. It is the virtue that we do, what makes us different from similar institutions. The work of the Institution, in accordance with the IEP, is based on the quality, relevance, and internationalization; also in values such as respect, tolerance, consistency, the common good, trust, justice, and prioritizes the principles of humanism, discipline, leadership, excellence and innovation, which, since its inception, the Institution has been characterized by vocation and commitment to environmental sustainability, the culture of entrepreneurship and regional development with a territorial approach; pillars missionary that have led him to become the “Or Green Colombia”. En más de 40 años de existencia, UNIAGRARIA ha logrado avances significativos en la consolidación de sus postulados fundacionales y concreción los tres pilares misionales arriba mencionados, que estructura el BE and that have been referred to as seal differentiator in the substantive functions of teaching, research and extension. The integration of the substantive functions and the pillars mission is also present in the relationship with the external sector, especially the regional and rural areas, visible through programs and projects of the BE uniagrarista, como el SISTEMA SEMBRAR PAZ, UNIAGRARIA al Campo, Plan 500 Colegios Verdes para Colombia, Madrugadas Rurales, Educación en Contextos Rurales, la creación de Sedes y Centros Regionales, y muchos otros proyectos propios de las disciplinas de los programas académicos que oferta la Institución. Nuestra identidad es también palpable en nuestro Himno Institucional y nuestra Bandera.
