Laboratories for Research and Extension

The section of laboratories in coordination with the Institute of Research, supports the research work by the support to different groups and projects, the provision of equipment, supplies, facilities and infrastructure, which will enable them to strengthen their lines of research and to turn the undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

In the present Section of Laboratories UNIAGRARIA account with 7 research Laboratories in its three locations, where you will carry out projects in the area of Veterinary Medicine, Animal science, Engineering and specialization GIS, SIHGA.

Some of the Laboratories have been formed from inter-institutional agreements, as is the case of the laboratory of phytochemistry, analytical instrumentation, Research and development of metrology. In addition, we have executed major projects as is the case of the so-called COSMO-AROMATIS, MEN OF AGRICULTURE, MEN, FESTO, of great social impact for our regions and country.

1. Research laboratory of Aquaculture

Aquaculture is an activity that allows, under conditions of sustainable management, use of natural resources aquatic natives, or the use of species already introduced. The northern region of Jalisco has been involved with very little in the studies and developments aimed at establishing aquaculture as an activity that is productive and stable. To reduce this lag is essential to generate skilled human resources at all levels and under a perspective of both production and scientific.

2. Research laboratory of Veterinary Science

The purpose of this lab is to guide students in the development of your project grade, developing skills and in depth knowledge about the components of a research project, that will generate in students the skills necessary to approach and presentation of research proposals in the area of veterinary sciences, with the ability to help identify and solve problems in the health and well-being of the animals, to achieve the continuous development of Veterinary Science in Uniagraria and, therefore, in the country, our researchers must acquire the ability to interact in a multidisciplinary way and generate social appropriation of knowledge from the emphasis of the lines of research of the faculty and addressing the technological development and innovation in the livestock sector and veterinary public health.

4. Research laboratory of Phytochemistry

6. Research and Development laboratory Metrology

In this lab applies the science which has for object the study of the units and of the measures of the magnitudes; also defines the technical requirements of the methods and instruments of measurement, are classified hierarchically, according to the quality of their patterns. It is fully equipped with three magnitudes pattern, to calibrate mass, pressure, and temperature.

Metrology is responsible for ensuring that the equipment used in a particular process, to operate within the standards of national and international quality set by the manufacturers and adhere to their time, the allowable ranges for the magnitude of depression, temperature, and mass, in this way, we have full confidence in the results obtained.

7. Research laboratory, Quality and Analysis

Uniagraria offers its teachers and researchers in laboratories with adequate technology to think and produce original knowledge and novel. This lab strengthens the research in the analysis of the physico-chemical properties in foods, water, measurement of different types of acidity, pH, water activity, turbidimeter, test jar, BOD and COD, chromatograph, atomic absorption for the determination of some heavy metals among others.
